The city of Travelers Rest is located in Greenville County, in the northwestern part of South Carolina among the foothills of the Blue Ridge mountains. Travelers Rest lies to the north of the city of Greenville and Furman University. Its thriving, revitalized downtown district has undergone a full renaissance and now boasts some of the most in-demand eateries in the area. Downtown Travelers Rest also sits along the Swamp Rabbit Trail, connecting it via trail to downtown Greenville and beyond.

There’s a reason the line stretches around the corner at Tandem Creperie and Coffee. The food is excellent, the coffee well-brewed, and the atmosphere is welcoming to all.

Speaking of coffee, Leopard Forest has been roasting coffee in Travelers Rest since 2004. They have something for everyone and are a wonderful place to grab a fresh bag of beans.

Right off the main drag, you’ll find Upcountry Provisions, a popular spot for breakfast, lunch, or freshly-baked sweet treats.

Locals, visitors, and those in the know get reservations for Topsoil, a dining experience even the most discerning gourmands will love.

Coastal Crust has made a name for itself amongst pizza enthusiasts who trek to Travelers Rest just for a slice.

For those in the mood for shopping rather than snacking, find your way to Sunrift Adventures. While it may be ideally placed on the Swamp Rabbit Trail, this outdoor outfitter has called Travelers Rest home for decades, since long before the trail existed. Great service and an excellent selection of goods make Sunrift a must-shop for adventure lovers and relaxed leisure seekers alike.

From April until September, you can find local produce and handmade items at the Travelers Rest Farmers Market on Saturdays and Wednesdays.
